Subject: IoT Experimenters this Sunday 17th 1pm Parks Library

Hi Everyone,

Our monthly IoT Experimenters meeting is this Sunday 17th, at the Parks Library in Community Room 2 opposite the Makerspace.

Last meeting, we set up a home assistant in the Parks library on a Raspberry PI 4 8GB

Open source home automation that puts local control and privacy first. Powered by a worldwide community of tinkerers and DIY enthusiasts. Perfect to run on a Raspberry Pi or a local server.

This server is accessible in the Library and  remotely over the internet using Zero Teir

At this month's meeting, we will explore:

  • Attaching appliance energy monitoring on some makerspace equipment to home assistant
  • Using Tuya CloudCutter server
  • Using ESP32 to hack a solar garden light to do WLED
  • Free discussion on all things IoT,wifi and LoRaWAN
