tony,
I talked to the woman at coro community center this morning and she insisted on email describing our group and what we do before i can get a quote. this morning the small room had three large folding tables in it arranged in a rectangle with 14 people sitting around it with plenty of room to walk around them. it includes a small kitchenette, and one glass wall with sliding doors to the outside deck. toilets just outside the entrance door in a passageway. Normal renting price is $45/hour but cheaper for long term and being not for profit makes a difference too. And being a volunteer member makes a difference too.
The fact that our biggest spend is insurance should help too. also that we are a small group and encourage non members to attend. and we have highly skilled electronics people and coders asble to run STEM type workshops etc. you know all the jargon you have been trying to tell Flinders too.
So could you as president put together an appropriate an email inquiring about a possible rental so as to get a quote.
