Hi all,
As part of the annual funding our Coordinating Committee receives from State Government, there is $10,000 allocated to “new initiatives”.
I am seeking expressions of interest from any company, individual or organisation who would like to submit a proposal for an event they could run with these funds.
This could range from an innovative new event, an event attracting new audiences, or an event that incorporates a number of different aspects. The event must primarily aim to target the general community and meet one of the aims of National Science Week:
§ encourage informed discussion around science-related issues of public interest
§ encourage young people to study science
§ promote science-based careers
§ inform businesses of the importance of innovation to their long-term success
§ celebrate the achievements of Australians working in these fields.
The proposal does not need to be lengthy but will need to include a description of the project, target audiences, outcomes, and a budget setting out the expenditure. The event will need to take place in or close to National Science Week 10 – 18 August.
Proposals will need to be to emailed to me by Friday 24 May. You can contact me at any time if you would like further information.
And ... It’s not too late to book into the event below – and please feel free to pass the invitation on through your networks.
Regards,
Rona
