Friday Hack

Hey folks

I plan to hit the space early on Friday and get a few things done so
if any one is keen also, do email the group and come along. Just like
at home in my man cave, I'll be playing back-to-back Mythbusters
episodes while I work (keeps me in the mood, if no one mines o/c). So
I plan to:

1) Replace the protoboard+digispark driving my RGB lamp with the
ATtiny stripboard version I've since made. Does anyone recommend/have
experience with an alternative to the 5v 7805 regulators that do 9v to
5v via switching rather than heat dissipation?)

2) Come up with a prototype for the AU workshop "Hacky-sack #1: Fun
with multicolour LEDs" - with the aim of producing a parts list w/ a
set of work packages to either LED-up a lamp as in (1) or light up
something else the workshop attendees bring along.

3) Learn how to script my own functions for the IRC HackerdeenBot.
