You can't be made an admin as you're not signed up with a google
account.

I've have had a play with the settings and nobody should be able to join
the list now (unless they're invited - I don't know who has the power to
invite people, but if anybody finds they have such power: please don't
use it), and only owners are still allowed to post.

I've left the archive open in case anyone wants to read old
conversations.
