I think it is a great initiative, awarding people for sharing knowledge.
However it is sad that it is once again restricted to Americans.
Read the message I get when I try to log-on:
"As of September 1, 2005 all new IPTL members must have a U.S. mailing
address and join from a United States IP address. Your IP address is not
recognized by our system as being in the United States."
I wonder if this is another consequence of the "War on terror"
Anyway this is not the way.
