Hello,

It is almost time for the Hacker Fair! Here are a few last-minute notes:

We share the complex with some neighbors who have rather strict parking rules. Please check out our parking map at http://hackerdojo.pbworks.com/f/dojoparking.gif

Every candidate gets one electric socket. If you want more than one electric socket please bring your own power strip.

We have had (absurd as it sounds) damage to our internet due to the rain. We had a technician set to come to fix it, but this is the first big event after that. I suppose we will see if it really is fixed now. There will be wifi available, but with the damage and the number of people attending the speeds may not be optimal. If you have a mifi please bring it, and if you have a 3G phone please consider installing an app that broadcasts local wifi. If you have unlimited data, consider being a good neighbor and leaving your wireless open at the fair. This is strictly a backup plan scenario right now, but we would like to be prepared.

We will open an hour early (9AM) the day of the event for candidates who want to get a head start on badging and demo setup.  The recruiters will arrive at 10AM.

Many job seekers are gathering at 6PM on Friday to prepare for the fair. You are welcome to join them.

I've been asked to remind you all that you are invited to SuperHappyDevHouse, which is happening directly after this event at Microsoft (only a few blocks away).

The Hacker Fair really wants to hear feedback on this event. If this results in a successful hire we'd like to be able to count that as a success, and if you had issues with this event we would really like to know what to improve upon.

Thanks,

Katy
