Let me know what you would like to see make it into the next and final 3 weeks of Class

I hope everyone has had a great time in class. So far and that you are
learning the PHP way of things. i promise that it will only get better
as the next few weeks role out.

As I stated before, if you want an Amazon developer account you need
to just shoot me an email and let me know. I'm going to be giving away
a $50 gift card to the best final project on the last day of class. So
you have three weeks to use your PHP foundation to make yourself
something fantastic.

We will be releasing our projects into the Amazon Cloud. I will have a
link to the HackerLamp_64_Stack AMI server image so you guys can
easily get up and running in the cloud.

To Dos: if you haven't already downloaded Java 1.6, then do so, make
sure you have the most recent gcc compile tools for Mac (sorry windows
users you will have to go about getting the required packages in a
different manner.) Mac users, you can go to developer.apple.com to get
yourself the latest version of Xcode. This will have everything you
need to use the Amazon command line tools.

Http://aws.amazon.com take a peek at the new services but we will only
be using ec2 and s3.

download the developer tools and get these up and running.

Also signup for your account and we will use the credits so you can
use the services for free wile you are taking hacker dojo classes

Step 1: Sign up for AWS (if you are already signed up, skip to Step 2)
 
·         Go to the Amazon EC2 page. Click "Sign up for Amazon EC2" button and follow the on-screen instructions. By signing up for Amazon EC2, you will be automatically signed up for Amazon S3. You can also sign up for other services.
·         The sign-up process requires a credit card which will not be charged until your usage exceeds the credit amount.
 
Step 2: Redeem your AWS credits
