Construction Site Updates
4th and Reed, Home Renovation - San Jose
We are down to some finishing touches on this four-home renovation in San Jose! There is some work under way to finalize details outside, from grading to garden sheds to gates. Worried about rain? We've still got a punch list to check off indoors, like touch-up painting and shelving. We are getting close to welcoming home Habitat's newest homeowners!
Sequoia Grove, New Home Development - Hayward
 The scaffolding has come down on the first five homes in Hayward! These homes have been painted and are looking beautiful on the outside — but there's plenty still to do inside with things like tile prep, flooring, and cabinetry. Meanwhile, the five other homes are not far behind with work finishing up on their exterior paint, as well as some work on sunshades and trim.
That means we still need your help to get these homes prepped for their Home Celebration this summer! Join us for a volunteer day as a group or on your own, and we'll make sure you have all the tools and training you'll need for a fun and fulfilling day on site.

Volunteer to Launch ReStore Apparel Sales!
 Support affordable housing while keeping usable materials out of landfills? You can do it all by helping our Oakland ReStore to launch apparel sales! Volunteers are needed in the ReStore's warehouse to evaluate the quality of donated garments, and distinguish apparel items that are fit for sale from those that aren't. No experience is necessary, and we have morning and afternoon shifts available. Sign up here!

This unique team building experience offers corporate groups a fulfilling day out of the office, special sponsorship benefits, and a chance to raise awareness and critical funds for affordable housing—all while creating adorable playhouses that will fuel young imaginations.

This community-favorite building event is deeply ingrained in the Habitat DNA. About 400 volunteers will frame walls, compressing months of construction progress into just three days at Esperanza Place in Walnut Creek. Plus, it's a fundraiser that brings in critical investment that moves Habitat’s work forward even when the event has ended. Let us know you're interested! |
