to thinking with Jürgen Habermas
I haven't given attention to the GoogleGroup/Habermas address, but happened to check in today. I see that there are some members. So, I'll try to be useful—though I'm currently involved with unrelated work.

Occasionally, I get queries via the Facebook/Habermas project, sometimes wanting to know where I am in Habermas studies (or usually believing that I'm Jürgen Habermas, though the Facebook "About" section clearly states at the top that Habermas is uninvolved with the project).

A baseline attitude I expressed to someone today is worth repeating: What can theory do for progressive practice? I pointed him to something that I regard as exemplary of that question, i.e., my sense of the question (not that I claim exemplarity for my studies, which tend to get obtuse).

So, here's where I'm at—or was a couple of years ago. This is very readable:

I'm not expecting to get involved in a lot of discussion here, but I do want to be useful. The Habermas Project is only about being useful.

Best wishes for your new year!

Stay safe,

Gary
