I have a JBL Quantum One headset, and cannot use the surround sound in-game. When I click configure "VoiceMeeter Input" in Sounds, and Test 7.1 Surround Sound, I only hear the first sound - front left. And in game there is no spatial sounds whatsoever. I have tried using Banana and Potato but I'm running into the same issue. Anyone know a fix for this?

Hello I just bought a Razer Kraken Ultimate and Im having trouble outputting 7.1 surround sound audio through voicemeeter to my headset. Anyone run into this problem and have a solution? Or a better software I can use? I use voicemeeter to play a soundboard through my mic and control the audio levels of everything

- Output 2.0 audio to amplituner (usualy some Home cinema set like Herman Cardon AMP) and there change matrix settings to say 5.1 surround
- Use Boxee to output sound to AMP and change matrix - same like above
- Instal virtual audio output. If You change virtual audio calbe to be the only one then it becomes systems default (Used by Spotify) You can then redirect this virtual cable to some kind of filter with 5.1 matrix compatibility like ffdshow or AC3 matrix. There is some mystery to me how to sustain this filter as active process when it need to be loaded by other software (player) but somewhere out there in deeph ot the interent must be as anwser to this question as well

Method 2 - VoiceMeeter Banana + HIFI Cable. Scenario: Virtualized device is widely used. Normal stereo is an exception. (not so difficult, but better latency and voicemeeter controls)
1. Install VoiceMeeter Banana.
2. Install HI-FI Cable.
3. Configure your VoiceMeeter Banana to use your sound device on A1 and set your latency preferences. Set VoiceMeeter to run at startup. Use "VoiceMeeter Input" and "VoiceMeeter Aux Input" as Stereo on Windows and DO NOT SET THEM AS DEFAULT DEVICE for Windows Sound control panel (mmsys.cpl).
4. Open mmsys.cpl > Set "Hi-Fi CAble Input" as your default device. Set it to 7.1 Surround. Open Equalizer APO "Configurator" tool and set "Hi-FI Cable Input" to use it. Restart Windows service or reboot.
5. Open ASIO Bridge. Set your latencies. Set it Run at startup. (File > System Tray..). Click on the ASIO Device (in Cyan color) and select "VoiceMeeter AUX ASIO".
6. In VoiceMeeter, make sure the "VoiceMeeter AUX" strip is set to play on your configured A1 device.
7. Use "App volume and device preferences" from Windows 10 or your applications options when you want:
Virtual Surround/Hesuvi output = "Default" or "Hi-Fi Cable Input"
Normal Stereo output = "VoiceMeeter Input"

When watching movies/playing games etc., the surround sound interface is used, using the analog outputs for the C, RL, RR channels and the SPDIF/optical out feeding the music production interface for the FL and FR channels.

CRUCIAL part of the process is to go into control panel and set Voicemeeter to be surround output. You potentially need to then change some configuration with your interface setup, but when you play something out of wwise, you can check in voicemeeter if there are multiple channels of audio as expected - from here it's a case of making sure your interface is working correctly.

Could you please post a screenshot of you voicemeeter set up? I have rift on 1 usb headset on 2 and the onboard sound (for the buttkicker) on 3 but I am sure that there is some error in the way I have it set up. Thanks in advance.

Gonna have to give that a try moving one of the pucks where my stick is mounted. I'm running four-TT25-16 shaker pucks, two in the seat and 2 mid back in my chair. Driving them with a 70watt subwoofer plate amplifier. Using a stereo Y-splitter from my center/subwoofer out to line level input on amp. Very simple setup, all I had to do was go into sound audio manager and increase subwoofer gain a bit and make sure the sound was all the way up in Sturmovik. I have the gain on the plate amp a little past 50% and it's more than enough rumble and thump. Great sound immersion with my surround headphones, and YES, Flak is killer!
