scheduled posts not posting

I moved my site over form a no-name host to media temple a while ago now and I noticed that the scheduled posts stopped posting. 

IIRC it coincided with the move so I assume theres something i need to initialise or something something to active the scheduled posts again.

anyone got any ideas? Everything else seemed to move over fairly well, just this. Not a major problem but a bit annoying.
