When I upgraded to habari 0.4, I had to completely install to a brand
new database because for some reason there was no way for me to
upgrade with my current setup. I asked for help on here, but it seemed
to be an isolated and singular incident.

So, I tried to fix things for myself. I did a fresh install and
everything seemed ok.

However, I get an email from a reader today saying he has tried to
publish comments multiple times. And since he has mentioned that I
have realized that my blog traffic has remained steady, yet comments
have been zilch.

I think the root of this is because I copied certain sections of my
old habari database, such as posts etc... into the new one.

Was this a necessarily wise thing to do?

What I hope to do is get more exact instructions on how to move to a
new database between the versions, so I can do a new fresh install and
do it correctly this time to salvage the functionality of my comments.

Thanks!

Comments are moderated by default... are they in your moderation queue?

I go to post a comment, and it seems as though nothing happens. I
check my admin page and there are no unmoderated comments in my queue,
nor are there comments showing up on the blog itself.

I figured it out. I was using the commentform from the previous
version of habari. When I replaced it with a new snippet, it works
fine now.

Thanks!
