announce group

What are the chances of having an announce group just for notices
about new releases?

Well, there is sort of already an "announce" RSS feed...

http://habariproject.org/en/atom/1  (or http://habariproject.org/en/rss/1 if you really want RSS and not atom). 

This is the "Community Blog" on habariproject.org and all new releases are always announced here.

Yeah, I would prefer a read only mailing list but I will look into an automated rss to email tool so we get an "urgent" alert when something comes though.
