Trac spam

-extras trac has been spammed. The tickets were quickly closed by the
ever vigilant Ali, but of course the spam links are still there. Can
someone with appropriate access delete these tickets?

The bigger issue is how to prevent this. Requiring a log in for bug
reporting is a bad thing, imho. I know people hate captchas. Anyone
have any other ideas?

Not sure if this will work, but Trac has a spam filter plugin:
http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/SpamFilter

My guess is that it's going to be basic, but should cover most of them at least.

I removed the offending tickets and installed the plugin. There seem to
be a lot of config options, though. Any thoughts as to what methods
within the plugin we should employ?

The existing config doesn't look too bad (the defaults?). As long as
the log entries are checked regularly (it currently purges after 7
days) we can tune it as we go. I'll try to remember to check them (but
that shouldn't stop anyone else doing the same).
