[questions] Functions of Habari: tag cloud, list of records in blog, etc?

Hi to all! :)

Maybe I'm too stupid :), but I can't find in Habari basic functions
like in Livejournal, like Page Summary and Tags Cloud, where it is?
And how can I do like in LJ to fix one record at the top of the page?
In LJ it's enought to use date in the future, but in Habari it's dont'
work. And one more thing: is there any analog of LJ-cut to hide part
of the record?

Thanks a lot for your help, Habari is great engine, but not so easy to
understand at first time (I'm about the additional functions).

Hi Ratmir and welcome to the world of Habari

The first thing to know about Habari is we try to keep the core Habari code small and compact with very basic functionality.  For everything else, you need to use plugins.

So, to get a tag cloud, install one of the Tag Cloud plugins, for example:

http://lildude.co.uk/projects/hb-cumulus

Page summary:  http://habariproject.org/dist/plugins/summary/ might do the trick, though you may need to actually customise your theme to get what you want.

A full list of plugins available can be found at http://wiki.habariproject.org/en/Available_Plugins which includes a link to http://habariproject.org/dist/plugins/

As for fixing a post to the top of the page and hiding part of the post, these would be a functions of the theme you use.  The default themes don't offer this functionality so you'll need to find one that does, or customise a theme.

Thanks a lot, Colin, but is there any FAQ how to install such plugins?
I copy and activated them, but it doesn't work - Page summary do
nothing, and fluffytag give a mistake:

Does anybody knows, is there any plugin for Habari that act as <LJ-
CUT> tag (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=75),
that create an opportunity to hide part of the post, that will be not
displayed at the main page?

If I follow, you want to display an excerpt.  You can add <!--more--> in your post where you want to cut off the post on the home page, or you can modify your theme to use an excerpt function, which would automatically only show a portion of your posts on the home page.

Hope that's what you were looking for.
