I've released a plugin named Headcode for Habari, which enables the user to inject their own code into the <head> of the template and before the closing </body>, essentially duplicating wp_head() and wp_footer(). This can be useful for things such as Google Analytics, extra CSS, and so on.

The release announcement is at http://robinadr.com/2007/09/headcode_10 and the project page is at http://robinadr.com/projects/headcode .

Thanks to Freakerz for some recent commits to the SVN that made this plugin a reality. Oh, and H0bbel for motivation :).

Yes. I’m a motivational poster!

Besides that, I’m having problems with the options for the plugin? Right now it looks like trunk is generating bad urls for the options pages ( Issue #417: http://code.google.com/p/habari/issues/detail?id=417 ) but even with a handcrafted url I don’t get anything besides empty options for Headcode?

Interesting. When I tested it out on a fresh install, the configuration worked perfectly. Are you running the latest revision?

I'll look into this further when I get home today.

The revision number is referenced in the ticket I filed, and I do get the options page for the TagCloud plugin.

r869 fixes the URL issue and I’m able to complete the configuration for Headcode as well. Great!
