In the Photos app , you can make stickers from the subjects in your photos and animated stickers from the subjects in your Live Photos. Then use your stickers to decorate messages, photos, notes, and more.

This picture had nothing selectable when trying to make a sticker but it could also have had only one building being automatically selectable where I wanted to make sticker out of a different building.

Select the type of tool you want use, whether free hand or shape and highlight what you want to cut and turn into the sticker. When you have that click on NEXT (highlighted) in the upper right of the editor to create the clip

Unfortunately this does not work. When you long tap the photo and press edit it only allows you to edit the sticker that it has created. You are not given the full photo to edit into a sticker. So if the AI doesn't successfully select the parts of the photo that you want to become a sticker you can't edit and include them

Sorry having a blonde moment I do a lot of graphic design from my Galaxy Note. And that sticker function was a huge deal for me. And now that it's gone I can't figure it out. Die-cut means that we are cutting through both the vinyl sticker material and the paper backing. This cut type doesn't leave any material around the sticker. Another way to look at it is to think of it like a "cookie cutter." Your stickers are all individually cut out to the contour of your design, so you have individually cut stickers with no paper material around the design.

Kiss-cut means we are only cutting through the vinyl layer ("sticker material") and not cutting through the paper backing, leaving a paper material border around your sticker. When you choose a kiss-cut sticker, you will have extra material around your sticker for easy peeling.

Vector art consists of lines and curves that are mathematically defined objects. When viewing art in key line mode you can see the points or vectors when connecting your lines and curves. They can also be seen when using the pen tool or editing the points along a path. Vector art is ideal for type and drawn shapes because they can be enlarged to any size while maintaining crisp outlines and details without sacrificing quality. The distance between the vectors is calculated mathematically and is not dependent upon resolution.

Raster images consist of colored squares, called pixels. They are created by combining a series of various colored pixels. Digital photographs are made up of pixels. If you view a raster image at 200% or more you are able to see the individual pixels that make up the image. Raster images are dependent upon resolution so image enlargement is limited by the individual size at which the file was created. If a file is produced at a size that is larger than its resolution will allow, the quality will decrease. Printing a low resolution file will result in pixelation. Individual pixels are large enough to be easily discernable. Increasing the resolution will not solve this problem is there are not enough pixels to begin with. The program will add more pixels based upon the estimation of their location and will then assign their neighboring pixels's color value. This may cause an image to look muddy.

We offer two vinyl material options. The removable vinyl material is made from a low tack, or less sticky, vinyl. This material has a 1 to 3 year outdoor durability lifespan when properly applied and maintained.

Our removable vinyl material option should not leave residue if the sticker is removed one year or less after placement. Even if residue is left behind, it is pretty easily removed with soapy water or cleaning agents.

Now that you have a floating layer with the actual sticker content, you can remove the background by deleting the underneath layer. In the layers window, right click it and then click Delete Layer in the context menu.

Now that you finished cutting, you should only have one layer that covers the whole canvas and contains the sticker at the center. If you have more layers, merge them down. In the layers window, right click the top most layer and click Merge Down.

The border is not created yet, there is only a selection for it. Before proceeding, you might want to make it smoother by applying a Gaussian Blur. To do this, click Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur in the menu bar and fill out the dialog form. The only relevant values are Size X and Size Y. I usually go with a value of 4 for both, just like with the border size.

WhatsApp is more complicated as it requires you to build a whole app to distribute your stickers. The good news is that WhatsApp already provides sample apps for third party stickers so you can just fork the repo and replace the sample sticker pack with your own.

I've got the same on my 15 pro max aswell running the latest software .. it allows me to highlight the part of the image I want to create a sticker off and move it about the screen .. but I have no other options to choose from.

I have the same issue too, just tested it on my newly updated IOS 17.4 iPhone 15 Pro. I'm able to select a part of an photo I want to create a sticker from but when I select Add Sticker it appears in the sticker draw for a second then disappears. What is odd is that I am able to create stickers on my iPad Pro without issues. Stickers created on my iPad do not show up on my iPhone, the sticker draw there is always empty.

I opened a call with Apple in December who were initially very helpful, we tried several ways to fix the issue which included removing my VPN software and Microsoft Defender. The thought was that the issue was iCloud related and that these apps might be blocking the upload of the sticker. I also sent screen recordings that demonstrated the issue and uploaded many logs that Apple requested. I was told that they would get back to me but have heard nothing since late December 2023...

Have you checked your sticker drawer for those that you've attempted to create? Are you running the latest version of iOS 17 for your device? If so and still not finding those, check Screen Time restrictions to ensure there are no features blocking this action and then contact Apple Support directly to investigate further.

These are good instructions for making stickers. However, the problem is that many of us are not able to consistently create stickers from our photos. I am wondering if it might be a copyright concern built-in to the app? I seem to have a problem though with my ownphotography and artwork.
