Hey all,
Wanted to take a Tuesday moment and thank everyone for their efforts on the HTML5 Boilerplate and its various sibling projects like HTML5 Please.
I wanted to call specific attention to Nicolas Gallagher whose effort and contributions to the h5bp projects has been enormous. The projects would not have been nearly as successful were it not for his contributions not only on the technical front, but on the project management side as well.
Going forward, Nicolas will be the project lead of HTML5 Boilerplate. It's clear he's been the acting lead for a while now, so it seems appropriate to confirm it. His tone is inclusive; his focus is sharp. Oh, and he's one of the finest frontend developers I've known. I know I feel very comfortable with his leadership and am excited in all the ways he's already led the community.
HTML5 Boilerplate has had a calm steadiness about it since the 3.0, which I think is a great sign of success. Talking to Nicolas and others it feels like we're about ready for another (minor) release. It's dependent on Modernizr so I gotta go get my butt in gear. :)
Big thanks and congrats to Nicolas!
