Dear All,
Our colleagues Burcu Taskan and Vanda Ramos will be presenting their PhD follow up. Please find below the Zoom link, if needed, as well as the titles and abstracts for their presentation.
Burcu will be presenting by Zoom and Vanda will do her presentation in Portuguese. So, for those who are not fluent or native in Portuguese, it is always a good opportunity to learn a little bit more.

Title: Challenges to Cope with Uncertainty
in Work Settings: Psychological Mechanisms and Contextual Moderators
Abstract: In the last few decades, the organizational environment has been frequently described through the acronym VUCA, that stands for a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment. In this presentation, four thesis studies will be presented. In the first study, the main aim is ensuring a review of the literature to clarify a conceptual map of VUCA components and their relations to highlight some avenues for future research. Despite the popularity of that acronym, it is common to find in the literature some overlapping regarding the meaning of those terms as well as ill-definitions of each one. In the second study, the main aim is analyzing the mediating role of perceived effects of telework on adaptive performance via negative affect, and to test whether this indirect effect would be moderated by the leadership effectiveness with a cross-sectional design. The aim of the third study is analyzing the uncertainty and adaptive performance with a multilevel analysis of a diary data. The last study is a longitudinal study by investigating the perceived effects of hybrid work model on performance, productivity, and well-being with a multilevel analysis of a diary data.

Cheers,
