Question!? How many active researchers have we? (aproxomately)

I was wondering; and after a few searches here and on the net, i still
havn't found out. so! Here goes:
How many active researchers have we got on h2g2?
Also i interested to know, the figures by country also.
I would love to see more non native English speaking people on H2G2
and maybe some kind of translation.
An exact answer would be nice, but any kind of estimate, would be
brilliant.

I'm afraid at the moment we don't have a solid estimation for you.
What we do know is that we have thousands of readers and a few hundred active contributors.
Like you we are hoping to get more non-native English speaking on h2g2 and have a project in the works, but we first need to concentrate on getting www.h2g2.com up and running!

Glad to hear about the project. Anything else you can say about that?
I hope there will be a surge in interest when it's all up and

Not at the moment, I'm afriad, it's just an embryo of an idea. We may change it completely before it's ready to go!
