Next release date?

Hi there!

Do you have an idea when next version will be released?

• 1 week
• 1 month
• 2 month
• 6 month

The above has impact on my own release plans for my project!

I'm currently using H2 1.4.197 (but it has corruption issues, and I do not want to release my own project with a H2 SNAPSHOT release)

Same question - it's been 9 months and close to 1800 commits since 1.4.197. We don't mind building the artifact but would rather see an official release update.

I did the releases so far, I can certainly do that, but it would take some time. I think near the end of this year would be possible.

There are several very important patches for Ignite after v.1.4.197.

Hi,

To do a release, I usually do this:

  cd h2/src/installer

  ./buildRelease.sh

And then resolve the issues (add and update Javadocs, fix line ending / identation and so on). So far each release had all those issues fixed. That will take time. I'm not sure if that will be done by the end of the year, but I will try.

Hi,

If you want to help... sure! Just run the commands:

  cd h2/src/installer

  ./buildRelease.sh

Then if you could fix some of the issues that show up, for example adding missing Javadocs. The current rules are to have Javadocs for all public and protected fields and methods, except for getters and setters. We can also have a discussion about changing the rules if you like.

Javadoc seems to be complete. Since DB upgrade issue (https://github.com/h2database/h2database/issues/1592) has been resolved, what is preventing you guys from doing an official release?
