Hello,

How to display varbinary field in text format in the h2 console ?

It displays the varbinary field with hex representation, so I tryied cast(field as varchar) and convert(field, varchar) but it keep displaying varbinary in hex format.

How to display it like it was a String ? Thx

Hi,

The function UTF8TOSTRING should help: http://h2database.com/html/functions.html#utf8tostring

Regards,
Thomas

Thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for, even if I have some varbin iso encoded, it's just a quick hack so I can use the h2 web interface until I have made my UI.

Nothing to do with this topic but I also discovered the AUTO_SERVER mode which is really great, I can use the h2 web interface to access my main application embbeded DB, that's a very cool feature.
