This position involves leading the development of a Java/Spring-based web services platform to interact with proprietary and third party consumer electronic devices for the sports and fitness market. If you have experience in working with MVC frameworks like Struts and Spring, MySQL or non-sql database systems and you have proven experience in an architect role, leading a development team and a passion for sports and fitness, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Define and drive all aspects of design
Work with a development team in a technical lead and advisory capacity
Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and other technical development resources during the build and testing process
Participate in sprint planning for the development of new features
Ability to work independently solving technical problems
Document key aspects of the system
Requirements:
Experience in Java, Spring (Spring 3 web MVC preferred), Hibernate, Tomcat, and MySQL required
Software development lifecycle / Agile methodologies
Collaborate with the product managers to understand scope, requirements, and use-cases for features
Sports and fitness experience - swimming, running, cycling, team sports, etc. - at any level
Additional "nice to haves":
Experience working with the ANT+ SDK
C / C++
Web services
NoSql databases such as DynamoDB or Redis
HTML / Javascript
Subversion
Netbeans 7+
