Hi Rohit & Devendra

1. How does the election rules have been framed? Who are the members involved in framing rules? Does current council have no rights in discussion process?

ex: A UG student who enrolled to hostel 13 in his fourth year and later converted to dual degree. If he has good credentials and actively involved in hostel activities through out the year then I don't find any reason in limiting him from contesting to Hostel GSec post.

2. Why all the election officers are Non - UG's? On what basis they are nominated and who are the people involved in this discussion?

Thank You

Dear Dharma

1. The rules are generally framed by the institute which are mentioned in the SAC constitution.  sorry i didn't the 3rd que....which discussion process are you referring to ? hostel level or institute level ?

for all the other cases/exception/etc like the example you have mentioned, these are forwarded to hostel warden's notice and his decision will be final.

2. Rajat sharma Msc 2nd yr biotech. student is UG, Msc 2years students are considered to be UGs in the institute. You might have got a mail previously from Mr. Devendra proposing 3 cadidates as election officers. After that warden has declared them as election officers.

Reply to the Q1 is clear. I was not aware of it. Anyways I was referring at hostel level.

Regarding proposing candidates as election officers, is it the sole authority of Ward - Nom & Gsec only? Basically I am not clear on what basis you propose a particular hostel-in-mate as Election Officer?

I didn't propose any candidate...neither i was a part of decision making...actually election officers are to be decided by G Sec and Warden. But this time Devendra has consulted Hall manager and proposed those members then warden had accepted them. I couldn't play any role over there.

Geesa
I am not pointing at you to answer this. From your earlier reply itself, you made it clear that you were not involved in this. So my questions are for Devendra itself. Anyways, I am sorry to hear that you hasn't played any role in it being in the top student representative position in the hostel. I guess you should also be answered by Devendra on this.

@ Devendra: Waiting for your reply.
