New poster....
I am director of a new (8 months old) LEED certified conference center
in the midwest. Whenever my outdoor air dampers open between 75-100%
AND the outdoor humidity is high AND outdoor air temp is low - I get a
bad odor in the facility. It's almost like clockwork, but all 3
things have to be happening at once. The smell has been described by
others as chemical while others have said moisture related.
Common issues:
- Air handlers wide open
- High humidity
- Temp in the 30's - 40's
We've had a company take air samples and a nine page report and I
can't figure out what it means. Here is the beginning of the report
talking about silicone in the air sample.
I'm pulling my hair out on this - if anyone as any thought - I would
love to hear them.
