Hello,

This is my humble beginning so please be kind. I recently finished the build on my custom CoreXY printer.

It has been released on thingiverse a few weeks ago, but I realized that I had a problem with it over the week-end.

You see, the print it made was inverted on the Y axis. Until now, I had only printed things that were mirror left/right, this part was not.

I do wonder what the issue was. Yes, I have double checked the STL and the GCODE generated file, and they were both OK. It was the first time I didn't use Slic3er 0.9.9, I used 1.1, so I thought it might have been that but nope.

This is what the printer looks like:

The homing location is located in the upper right corner. I have set it there so, the end-stops cables would be out of the way.

In the firmware, all invert axis are set to false.

Anyone with a clue ?

Thank you

Jeff

Somebody else had a similar problem recently, he said he fixed it by flipping the motors plugged into the board.

To be more clear, take the motor plugged into the X driver and move it to Y, and vice versa.

I'll try that and keep you posted.

Thank you

Well,

Inverting the X and Y motor connection effectively changed things, but I needed to move one end stop.

So now, my homing is in the upper left corner of the printer, and the print says it all. Now, I got the left and right correct.

Thank you for your hint.

Jeff

I had the exact problem as yours. I inverted the connections and tried all combinations but nothing worked. So I moved the X Endstop to the other side. Removed the XMIN endstop plug and plugged it to the XMAX endstop pins. From the marlin, I changed these codes:

#define USE_XMIN_PLUG (Comment this)
#define USE_XMAX_PLUG (Uncomment this)

#define X_HOME_DIR -1 (Change -1 to 1

Now my X axis is as it should be.

What if you swapped the A and B motors around?

Yes I tried it but it caused the same results. Inverting only the X axis was possible only in this way.

Had same issue with my CoreXY running a Smoothie based MKS Sbase controller. I ended up swapping the X and Y stepper motors and changed the Smoothieware config from home_to_min to home_to_max for the Y axis only.

Oh and I changed where the 0,0 mark was...by 0,0 I mean basically move to center of bed before starting print. Whats weird is it worked well before just mirrored the Y axis which I deemed a bad thing.

I didn't realize mine was inverted on a single axis for quite some time. It was quite a pita to get straightened out.
