CoreXY gets all the headlines, but there’s fresh momentum behind H-Bot—especially when you combine it with CoreXY principles. We’ve been digging into a recent paper that outlines a hybrid approach we’re calling Core H-Bot: a motion system using one continuous belt to blend H-Bot’s mechanical simplicity with CoreXY’s dynamic stability. The goal is clean kinematics, fewer parts, and excellent acceleration with precise belt tensioning across the full travel.
At Fabreeko, we’ve kicked off a Core H-Bot conversion for our QIDI Plus 4 farm. Early signs are promising, and we’re optimizing routing, idlers, and tensioning to nail repeatability and reduce racking forces. We’ll share a deeper dive and photos as we progress—this could turn an already great platform into something special for large, fast, and consistent prints.
