After 2 years of work experience as Team Leader on international Java
and PHP projects in Guangzhou, I'm really interested now to take the
plunge and work in the Ruby world. During the GZRuby party yesterday I
have met very interesting and high-skilled people. It's an atmosphere
I like and it's what I'm looking for.
Below, 3 reasons for me to switch to Ruby (even if I don't hate Java
and PHP) :
1) Coming from the Java and PHP worlds, I decided recently during my
freetime to learn Ruby and RoR and I admit it is really impressive :
principle of least atonishment, simple and human syntax, fun and high
productivity. I'm really attracted by Ruby and RoR, and impatient to
play deeper with them.
2) I have a great passion in computer science and software engineering
and I want to join a team working on the latest technologies and
sharing with me the same passion. People using RoR can only be keen of
software engineering.
3) I am not only a technical guy, I am also constantly thinking to
invent the new killer web app to launch. This part of my profile is
certainly considered as a plus for your company and I would be proud
to help you to grow up on the international and Chinese markets.
Endless and professional quick-learner, I'm looking for cutting-edge
companies working with Ruby/RoR. If you have some job opportunities
matching my profile don't hesitate to contact me. You can find my
resume on LinkedIn (http://cn.linkedin.com/pub/jonathan-pares/

Jonathan
PS: I'm interested by Python positions as well.
