Hi all Gypsy Jazz enthusiats!
my name is Tommaso and I am a GJ lover. Like many of us I have arrived
to study this music after years of playing other guitar styles
(classical, jazz). I have noticed that, for many of us, there are few
opportunities to have good teachers, due to the lack of them. So we
are forced to study using all kinds of didactical materials(DVDs,
books, cds etc.) that fortunately, in the recent years, have become
numerous and of high quality.
But this kind of study is not enough for us, isn't it? We still need
to come nearer to the "real thing", the GJ as it is played by the
Masters. After hours and hours spent to practice with those good
methods, we still feel the need to get something more, something that
deals more directly with the matter. So I have decided to start this
Group to share with everyone, all those knowledge, suggestions,
practical tips, remmendations etc., that can help us to improve our
playing.
With this purpose I send an invitation to all professional and non to
share with us some good advices to improve our playing and keep the
Gypsy Jazz well alive in the world!
Thank you all,
Tommaso
