All cheat codes are case-sensitive and should be entered exactly as shown below, but some can only be used a single time in a campaign. It is also recommended that you update your game to the latest patch version available.

ONLY POST IF YOU CAN HELP WITH THIS!!! NOTHING MORE! KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF PLEASE! THANK YOU!Now that is over...So I've seen these cheat codes on the site, and everyone seems to be having some trouble using them. So I was thinking why not make a thread that shows you how to do it! Legionary posted 06 October 2004 05:39 EDT (US) 2 / 13 Those cheats DON'T WORK at all! I know, I've tried. But it's strictly for fun! muddymonkey77
Legionary posted 06 October 2004 12:08 EDT (US) 3 / 13 they DO work! I've tested them out in game. I have given examples of how do type them exactly. You can only use one per game. if you want to use more, save-exit-restart-type in cheat. nixus
Legionary posted 09 October 2004 10:43 EDT (US) 4 / 13 Try using the exact case of the object you are specifying (i.e. "Carthage" instead of "carthage").Some work for me while others don't (yet).I am currently using these successfully:add_money 2500
process_cq
bestbuy
auto_winI cannot get the process recruitment queue to work, so if you are using that one please give me exact syntax and general game info (campaign map selected rather than specific city, etc.), so I can try to get it working.Off the topic, but I want to create elephants for my 6 year old son, and have captured Carthage and two other nearby cities, but still don't see them on the recruitment page. Do you have to start the game as Carthage to create elephants?[This message has been edited by nixus (edited 10-09-2004 @ 10:45 AM).] GeneralMaximus
Legionary posted 09 October 2004 10:47 EDT (US) 5 / 13 jep you have to play as carthage to get elephants nixus
Legionary posted 09 October 2004 19:46 EDT (US) 6 / 13 If you type ? you get the syntax. ?process_rq says command not found. If anyone has found a way to process the recruitment queue please share how.You can start out with a bunch of denari if you edit the "descr_events.txt" file, path:
:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\and change the initial amount. I set Carthage to start with 500,000 no problem. The lines look like this:factioncarthage, balanced smith
denari500000
settlement

The good old days of cheat codes and console commands, the sort of stuff that made kids playing their very first games feel like elite coders. Total War: Rome Remastered, the updated version of the original Rome: Total War, keeps its cheat codes and commands intact.

This list covers all the different commands you need to know for your campaign, and what they do. Not advised if you're looking for any sort of balanced playthrough. These cheats are broken, just as they should be. Some cheats will only work once, and some cheats cannot be added alongside other cheats.

This will add 100 units of Hastati to the general's army. You can add whatever unit you like, including units you don't currently have access to. Want to swarm Gaul with legions of Urban Cohort in 250 BC? Well, you can with this cheat command.

The number at the end dictates the level of the trait. There are four levels of each trait in the game. Adding "Warlord" 4 will give your character the Legendary Warlord trait, for example. Play around with the different traits or check the Wiki for a comprehensive list of each trait you can add. You can also use the list_traits command to get a list in-game.

Not sure if you can be bothered to conquer an enemy's city? Just use the capture_settlement command instead. This command works a bit differently, in that you have to click on the city you want to conquer and then enter the command.

The oliphaunt cheat code makes huge elephants, these are about 40 percent bigger than ordinary elephant units. These are added as Yubtseb Elephants and sometimes, in the old Rome days, made the campaign crash. No problems yet with Remastered, though.

Want to have access to the entire map before exploring it? The toggle_fow code will let you do just that. Keep an ever-watching eye over your opponents. Just enter the code, nothing else is required on the end.

Click on a city and then enter the Jericho command. This will destroy the city's walls, either your own or an enemy's. This command is an homage to the "Walls of Jericho", the destruction of the ancient city's walls in the Biblical battle.

The toggle_perfect_spy code lets you become the ancient world's greatest spy. Basically offers the function of a super-spy, one that is able to enter every city and spy on every army on the campaign map.

This is quite useful if you just want to rush a city to Huge right away. You can build the highest-tier buildings and temples on your very first turn, basically creating one of the best cities in the game. This is pretty fun if you just want to experiment with a massively overpowered faction in the early game.

You can only use the add money cheat once, for a maximum of 40,000. So start or load up a game, do your money cheat, then turn off the game all the way. Wait 5-10 minutes, then turn Rome Total War back on, then load up your game and you can get another 40 grand with the money cheat

Go to c:/program files/activision/rome-total war/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign then open the file"descr_strat" here you can change the starting denari for a faction, change settlement levels, add/remove buildings, and change general and soldier expierence and weapon/armor lvl. Exp can go up to 9 weapon/armor lvls up to 3

If you do the money cheat you can re-do that cheat instantly without typing anymore by pressing the up arrow key. You can get millions in minuets. This also works with other cheats. You get huge cities in minuets.

Don't worry if you see the supposedly huge senate army around Rome. Their army consists of obsolete units like hestatai and princepes, and can easily be crushed with legionary cohorts and legionary cavalry, onagars, ect. But beware, as soon as you do away with the senate, the other loyal Roman factions declare war on you!
