Hi Everyone,

You might have heard (or seen) that FARA re-advertised the Gender, Youth & Agri-business Specialist position.

To clear the air, FARA had engaged Mary Njeri as the Gender, Youth & Agri-business Specialist and she doubled up as the YPARD Africa regional coordinator. We had initiated the induction process her very hectic schedule notwithstanding. And just when we were getting round to formally introducing her to the YPARD community, she informed us of her resignation due to personal reasons.

 As you may have seen, FARA is in the market for a new consultant. I would encourage you all to submit your application for the said position. Here below is the snapshot of the vacancy.

VACANCY Announcement at FARA: Long-Term Consultant - Gender, Youth & Agri-business Specialist

FARA is seeking to engage a Gender, Youth and Agribusiness Consultant to work closely with its core programmes in implementing its MTOP2R

The main purpose of the position is to formulate policy, implement programmes, research and training modules to promote and strengthen the inclusion and mainstreaming of gender, youth and broader social development issues in Agricultural research and development programmes and projects by FARA. Even more interesting, this specialist will be the Regional Coordinator for the African Chapter of the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD).
