should we go for Skype meeting or email meeting

Dear All,
              There were only 2 people ( Alex and Mirna) seems to be able to make skype call, but unfortunately both of them will be available in different days and time.. Thus, It is is very difficult find a common time for skype meeting. I also assume there might be other people who might be not able to attend the skype call as it is  a specific time bound activity. Thus, I am just wondering if we could conduct email meeting.
I can write a common email with proposed activity/ update about activity and everyone can comment on that. Later on we can have skype meeting when needed.
Please let me your opinion about this new approach.
