EGM held by Public company other than Registered office

Hello everyone,
I have a query regarding a public company holding its EGM.
Can a public company hold its EGM at a place other than its registered office?
The Articles of Association of the company do not contain any specific clause in this regard.
Please guide me.

Yes in view of Sections 100 and 101 of the Companies Act, 2013, read with SS-2 on General Meetings, and considering that the Articles of Association are silent, a public company can lawfully hold its EGM at a place other than its registered office, provided that:

the venue is clearly specified in the notice,

statutory notice requirements are complied with, and

the venue is reasonable and does not prejudice shareholder participation.
