See below everyone. Nnenna and I are working to get everything in order for next Friday. I will keep you posted.
In summary, we will NOT be having our mixer this Friday.

Hey Team!
I hope everyone is having a good week thus far. I just wanted to update you all on the mixer.
So you are probably wondering why you have not heard anything about the mixer at Tonic this Friday. Unfortunately, we will have to postpone the mixer to next Friday Sept. 20th. GW has a ton of strict administrative requirements for events at venues that serve alcohol. Kirsty (from the Global Health Network, cc'd) and I have literally been running around submitting forms since last week.
I contacted Tonic and next Friday is booked for them, so we are thinking about having the mixer at Circa Foggy Bottom instead (right across the street from school). I will contact them this evening after class to see if their space is not already booked for next Friday (cross your fingers!).
