Good evening Kerriann,
My name is Adam Bethke, and I am a Presidential Administrative Fellow (PAF) here at GW. I’m writing because we've identified you as a leader of Global Health Network. I wanted to reach out to you to encourage the seniors involved with Global Health Network to consider applying for the program. I would really appreciate it if you would you be willing to share the following information with Global Health Network and particularly with the seniors who are involved. Also, if you have any friends who are GW seniors who you think would be interested, we would love to have you share it with them as well!
As the information below mentions, we’re having informational sessions starting next Monday. The informational sessions, as well as the Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/gwpaf) are great ways to learn more about the application process and benefits. If you have any questions, or anyone you send the email to does, please feel free to contact me directly (bet...@gwmail.gwu.edu).
The PAF program is a two-year post-baccalaureate commitment, which benefits both the student and the university. The PAF program offers graduating GW seniors the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in their chosen field full-time while working within a university office in a part-time, professional capacity. The PAF program combines classroom education, professional experiences, service opportunities, and ambassadorial interactions with faculty, staff, and alumni to provide an excellent learning experience in leadership and administration as a foundation for nearly any professional career path.
PAFs are provided with graduate tuition and fees (maximum 42 credit-hour master’s degree program) plus a graduate salary and stipend. The PAFs also complete a competency-based professional development curriculum designed to enhance their leadership and administration skills that can be applied during their time at GW and post-graduation.
Please join us for one of the following information sessions to learn more about the PAF program and to speak with current PAFs about this unique opportunity:
• Monday, September 16, 5:00 to 6:00 pm, Marvin Center 404
• Thursday, September 26, 5:00 to 6:00 pm, MSSC 104
• Tuesday, October 1, 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Marvin Center 402
• Wednesday, October 2, 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Marvin Center 407
• Friday, October 11, 5:00 to 6:00 pm, Marvin Center 403
PAF program applications are due by Friday, October 18.
Thank you so much for your help!
Adam Bethke
