May 22 Meeting Notes

Good evening ladies,

Thank you so much for your time and thoughts this evening for our meeting. Here are the notes that I made concerning the topics we had on the agenda.

Money:

-Currently the GHN account stands at $21 with incoming funds for 2013-2014 funding year arriving on July 1st. We are expecting an amount of $300-$350 which will certainly be a good addition to our account.

Fundraisers:

-Christian is still awaiting an update from her link at Jin to let us know how much we raised the evening they helped us in hosting our event.

-We would like to host the boot camp workshop on June 20th 6:30p-7:30p and have it act as a fundraising piece and have folks sign up for a buck or two. We will be looking into space in the Marvin Center to host and Christian has a link who is willing to facilitate the session for us :)

-We would also like to host a post orientation happy hour to welcome the incoming Public Health students and also get folks involved as potential board members. This would potentially be hosted at the end of the first week of classes on August 29th at a location near campus.

GHN Represent;

-Discussion of GHN members representing at the pre-orientation event with Barbiero is also on the table. This would be in July and Hailey and Barbiero will be contacted to find out about a date and other info so we can plan for that.

Ok I believe that sums it up. Please let me know if I forgot anything or is there are other ideas.
