Newbie Questions on CSS

I am using Eclipse with GWT 1.4.61, GWM 1.6.6 and Widgets 0.1.3.
My question is on how to get the CSS files to work? I put the html
lines in MyApp.html

<link href="themes/citrus.css" rel="stylesheet" typype="text/css"></
link>
<link href="themes/citrus-off.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/
css"></link>
</head>
The examples run without error but I do not see any changes in the
colors or the text that is being displayed.
I have tried using cloudy,cloudy-off and darkX, darkX-off. The colors
and text still look the same.
What should I be doing differently?
