Hello,

I'm working on an app which streams mp3 files from the Soundcloud api
and after reading the documentation on the Sound object, I found out
that if the load state is set to Maybe Ready then its not possible to
detect when the mp3 will start playing.

I would like to have some clarification on this matter if possible. Is
there some other way I have missed or I should stop looking for a
solution and go on?

Thanks for the amazing library, keep it up guys!

Nick.

That's correct. Not all browsers' sound support APIs provide a way to detect when a sound is ready. You'll need Flash or preferably the Web Audio API. Those are not always available, however.

The final application will need to be able to run on mobile devices so
Flash unfortunatelly is not a viable solution.
Any ideas on how to detect when the track is playing?
