Hello Mat,

We are using the Modal Dialog in number of places in our product. We
have at a time from one to about 5-6 different flash movies on the
screen. When the modal dialogs are poped up, the glass panel covers
the screen. In IE, Firefox and Safari the movies content shows
properly through the glass panel except in Firefox on Mac. In that
case the movie just gets covered up by the glass panel. I experimented
with the style and only answer I can find is to simply block out the
glass panel styles, which effectively removes the glass panel
altogether.

I have a sample test page http://jp1.dimdim.com:8080/ROOT-J/flash1/Flash1.html
for this. To see the problem

1. Go to the page and click on 'Show Whiteboard'. A flash whiteboard
will show up in the center area.
2. Scroll down and click on 'Show Modal Dialog'. A simple modal dialog
with header and 1 label will show up. In firefox on mac the whiteboard
will get covered up.
3. Clicking on the dialog content label will remove the dialog.

Has anyone noticed this or similar problem with flash and glass panel?
Is there any resolution for it?

Thanks,
-Jayant.

Hi Jayant,

I haven't dealt with Flash personally, but I can recommend several avenues of investigation:

Re: the 2nd link, the GWT Tk demo has an example of a GlassPanel with a PNG background:
