Steering Committee Meeting notes from 8/21

Sorry for the delay in sending these out.

Agenda:

• GWT 2.7
• GPE
• GSS

GWT 2.7

• Need to get Incremental Compile and Super-Dev mode working well before release.
• Daniel: plan to mirror SDM issues in the outside issue tracker.
• Colin: Getting SDM set-up is quite difficult.
• Work with Intellij to get better SDM support: (Joonas, Bhaskar)
• Get some help externally in testing SDM.
• Looking at the work to be done, ETA for 2.7 RC1 would be at end of September at the earliest.

GSS:

• Daniel: Good progress in validating GSS within Google. Its a question of when we can get it done in time for GWT 2.7

GPE:

• GPE is moving forward, some issues with formatting

Java8/jsinterop:

• Ray: Need Java8, for static methods on interfaces
• Ray: perhaps require Java8 by default in GWT 3.0 for code doing interops.
• Need to discuss what GWT 3.0 looks like.
