This is really well done. I have one issue though. I am using this with a
databinding and need to be able distinguish when the value is changed from
the user, and when the value is changed from the server. Everything is
private and so I can't subclass the DatePicker to do anything useful. I
could set the text of the underlying textbox, but the date is still set
incorrectly.

A new method called updateSelectedDate, which sets the date, synchronizes
the text, but doesn't call the changelisteners would be great.
