SATURDAY SOCCER 2pm

Okay, I have good news. We were able to obtain a permit for the rear
field this Saturday. We have a permit from 2-3 PM, so it crucial that
people show up early so that we can start on time. 1st 14 people play
in the 1st game with mini goals. Oh, if you want time to warm up, I
would suggest showing up 15 to 20 minutes early. I plan on being there
around 1:30 PM. Unfortunately, the permit cost money. So there’s going
to be a box for donations. If everyone donates $4.00, then we should
have enough to cover the cost of the permit. I will bring some money
to provide change, but please bring small bills to make things easier.
It looks like it’s going to be another awesome weekend for soccer. We
are playing rain or shine!

On a side note, last week a lot of people came out to play. We had
enough to break into two small games. There were a lot of new faces,
but some familiar ones too. So don’t be shy and introduce yourself. We
played on the front field, which is in better shape than years past.
For those who missed yesterday (Thursday), we had a good time. We were
on the front field because a team was holding practice on the rear
field, but the field is still moist. So Saturday should be fantastic.
We will probably continue to play Thursday’s, but keep an eye out for
the e-mail.

* Shin guards are recommended, but not required

Metro: Braddock Road on the Blue and Yellow line, then you have to
walk a few blocks to the field. You can see the fields from the metro
platform
