Good Morning:
I just wanted to make the club members aware that Campus Recreation
will be sponsoring our 10th annual winter break ski & snowboard trip
to Quebec City, Canada from January 2 - 9, 2010. We will be doing the
trip again with students from UMBC, American University, Rowan
University and the University of Delaware. In addition, I think
students from Georgetown, Loyola, Towson, Johns Hopkins, UPenn, Drexel
and LaSalle are considering joining us on the trip this year.
The costs of the trip are also very good. We don't run the trip to
make money! We run it to provide a quality trip to our GW students.
We stay in a beautiful 4 star Loews hotel located on the main
entertainment strip in Quebec City. Students can walk outside the
door of the hotel and be at 3 of the craziest and fun clubs that would
rival any of the clubs here in DC. We ski at 3 super slopes during
our 5 days of skiing, so students get a variety of terrain in Mont
Sainte-Anne, Ski Stoneham, and Le Massif. All transportation is also
covered. If you put four students in a room, the cost is $650 for the
week. Of course, that doesn't include food for the week or ski
rentals. Some students can eat on less than $50 for the week while
other students will splurge at some of the nicer restaurants around
town. Personally, I hit the McDonalds and Subway at least once a
week. Those fast food restaurants are also right down the street from
the hotel.

Initial deposits are due by November 20th to reserve a place on the
trip - but we're already taking deposits right now. Last year, we
took 108 students on the trip. 20% of the students who went last year
are going again this year. With the addition of the new schools, we
are hoping to take 150 students on the trip! Don't miss the fun!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at
au...@gwu.edu or give me a call in my office. This trip really is an
amazing experience!
