IT'S BAKE SALE TIME!Join us to support GW as we sponsor our annual Election Day Bake Sale on 11/4. We need volunteers to provide baked goods. PICTURE DAYS ARE THIS WEEK ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Check those backpacks - order forms were sent home at the end of last week (Didn't find one? Extras available in the main office, grade level offices and library). All students will have pictures taken for the yearbook; if you wish to purchase copies, your student must present the form and payment when their picture is taken. Please fill out the form carefully and include telephone number and homeroom teacher's name. Classes will be scheduled to take pictures according to PE teacher:

PTA-HOSTED TEACHER/STAFF DINNER WAS A SUCCESS THANKS TO YOU!Thank you to all who supported the Teacher and Staff Dinner on Conference Day. For those who were not there, I want you to know the Teachers were so grateful for the dinner, and the compliments were endless. The Hospitality Committee could not have provided dinner to 200 Teachers and Staff without your help. Special thanks to Erin White of Mindy's Catering for providing Lasagna. FOTO PIE SALES UNDERWAY - SUPPORT OUR ORCHESTRA!
Thanks to Friends Of The Orchestra (FOTO), your dilemma about Thanksgiving dessert is solved.
We have apple, pumpkin, sweet potato and pecan pies, as well as decadent flourless chocolate cake and mouthwatering French bread pudding. You know these products are high quality because they come from Bread and Chocolate. These baked goods all freeze well, and can be enjoyed on Thanksgiving day or beyond. The prices are very reasonable, and a generous percentage of the cost goes to FOTO to support our students. Order forms are due no later than Monday, November 17. Please note: All pies must be pre-paid. Last day for order form collection is November 17th, 2014. Make checks payable to FOTO. Pies must be picked up in the GW cafeteria on Monday, November 24 between 3:15pm and 6:30pm.

Williams High School on Tuesday, October 28th at 6:00 p.m. It is never too early to start planning for college, so come get answers to your questions about college admissions and paying for college. - A chance to win one of three $500 scholarships and some great raffle prizes!

Who is SFA? SFA is a non-profit organization providing, predominantly need-based, college scholarships and college advising to ACPS students. Since 1986, SFA has provided $11 million in scholarships to 4,000 college bound TC Williams students. This year alone, SFA awarded $900,000 in new and renewal scholarships. SFA is a small organization that depends on the generosity of volunteers and businesses to help ensure that any student who wishes to obtain a higher education has the support to do so. ATTENTION 8th GRADE PARENTS: ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT HOLDS WINTER SPORTS PARENT ORIENTATIONThe T.C. Williams Winter Sports parent orientation meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the main campus auditorium. Winter sports try-outs begin Monday, Nov. 10. Eligibility cards will be issued the week of Nov. 3 through 7. Any student interested in trying out for a sport must complete an updated Virginia High School League Physical and Emergency Care Form before tryouts.
