I just reviewed the November meeting minutes, and I see that a motion was made to amend the residency and citizenship requirements in the Ordinance.  Can you please make a more specific motion at the January 9^th meeting, along the lines of a motion to eliminate any requirement in the HRC Ordinance that members are Gwinnett County residents and U. S. citizens?  The vote will need to be clear in the minutes before I can make recommended changes to the Ordinance.

 

I should add that if there are any other desired changes to the Ordinance by the HRC members, it makes sense to include them in one revision.  It is a time-consuming process to get Ordinance amendments before the BOC for a vote, as they only meet twice a month, and the BOC business agenda is prepared over a week in advance of the meeting.

Thank you so much for your call today and helping to clarify the Facebook account request.
