given the possibility of dinamically scaling banners with Google Web Designer (otherwise what would be the point in using it?), I would like to use a general background image and let it be cropped automatically depending on banner size and orientation... I thought the Style option "Crop Image to Fill" would be exactly what I was looking for, but apparently it is not working... nothing happens to my background picturewhen switching between style options.
It doesn't work neither if I import the asset directly from the menu nor if I use the Element (Image) Tool.
Am I missing something? Any idea?
Running Google Web Designer 1.9.0.0619 on Windows 10

thank you for answering!
Yes I am talking about the GWD interface, but not only! I downloaded GWD yesterday (or the day before) so I should have the latest version (1.9.0.0619). Whether I look at the "Design View" or I preview the banner on a browser (btw only Firefox and Chrome work, the Microsoft ones - surprise :) - do not work) the background image is unfortunately still not correctly cropped...
Greetings.

not really. Firefox and Chrome (respectively 53.0.2 and 60.0.3112.113) show everything as wished, but do not crop the image outside the banner surface although I choose "crop image to fill" and no matter wheter I add the pic with the element tool or add the asset from the menu (as already specified).
Explorer and Edge do not work AT ALL. Explorer(11.413.15063.0) shows a faulty banner with no animations or transitions and all elements are placed wrongly. Edge (40.15063.0.0) does not show anything, although the window opens when I click on preview.
Thanks
