Hi Google Web Designer.

I have some issue with uploading a dynamic ads template for one of our clients. Attach you can see the raw file and the image I get when I upload to AdWords.

The issue is that the price, title and image are not changing dynamically.

Can you help me troubleshoot?

Thanks!

Best regards
Mads

Could you zip and share your authoring file? (not the published file). Alternately, starting with one of the dynamic ad templates gives you a file with the dynamic product functionality already setup.

Hope that helps,

Hi Kent.

Thanks for a quick reply.

I have now uploaded the original file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=11GWd1vICIoOjVb834oZSQ67_q5_sDYMz

Thanks for sending your file. This is easy to fix, just open the Dynamic panel and change the last column entries as shown in my screenshot. Then preview your file and you will see our sample dynamic data in your ad. You can pick other elements depending on what you want to be dynamic in your ad, but either way just click the little dropdown menu in the "data schema object" field and select your desired items from the menu rather than typing them in manually.

Hi Kent.

Thanks for your reply.

We have come a bit further for a solution: http://prntscr.com/hv66q0

Is it not possible to use custom label attributes for a dynamic template in AdWords? https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6275295?hl=en And do you know if there any limit, so it is only possible to use custom label for e.g. 1000 products?

Maybe you have list of available attributes for dynamic templates?

What do other companies do when they want to show the discount in percentage for 10.000 products in Google AdWords with a template from GWD?

Thanks a lot for your time!

Sorry, custom labels are a little outside my area but you could post your question to the AdWords Community Forum and this may be an issue with GMC feeds setup in particular.

To see all available attributes for Adwords retail ads see the data schema object field in my last screenshot, click and expand the Product label and that will be populated with the available attributes for the relevant vertical (GMC Retail). Not exactly a list but should give the information you need.

Hi Kent.

I have been in contact with the AdWords support which confirmed that the custom labels only are available for the first 1.000 products.

So how can I show a percentage in the banner if I don't have the percentage in the feed? Can i code something in Google Web Designer?

Thanks for your help!

What is the goal, to show discount percent in your ad?
That should be available standard to all GMC retail feeds without custom labels. If for some reason that's not working, it is possible to edit common/custom.js to calculate the percentage from your regularPrice & salePrice values and set that to the missing feed values like "Product_0_salePercentDiscount": "0.24"
But that's not the best practice as you could display unexpected results.

Thanks.

Regarding the attribute salePercentDiscount this is not supported in the merchant center: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112?hl=en

So i just wonder is this an attribute that is automatically generated in AdWords/GoogleWebDesigner?

Or should salePercentDiscount come from the source feed directly (Feed: https://feeds.datafeedwatch.com/14339/f1b7c2a44d2909d6937fcc88a38ab8af6ae6a25a.xml)?

salePercentDiscount is not generated by Google Web Designer. It should be generated automatically in the feed when regular & saleprices are present.
