Best way to creative multi frame animated banners?

Is there a more efficient way to create multi frame animated banners than the process I am currently using? I'm creating ads for the Google Display Network and they have different frames of content on them that loop.

To achieve the multi frame animation currently I am using key frames to hide the visibility of objects on the canvas whilst others are revealed.

Maybe the GWD sprite sheet component to animate between frames might work?
