Don't know if this has been brought up but here we go:

Will we see an update that allows for copying and duplicating layers? This will increase the speed when it comes to creating banner resizes.
My accounts in particular ask for 4 different sizes once the initial creative is approved.

Hi David,

Thanks for your request. This has been already logged as a feature request for GWD team.

I don't know if this helps, but some of the work-arounds I can think of is to create an empty div, add animation inside the div.
You can copy/paste the nested div. Or, another is to create animation for a layer, then create a group from Right-click menu. This will encapsulate the animation in a group.
You can copy/paste the group. I don't know if this will benefit to your scenario, but just an idea.

Thanks,
Mariko (GWD team)

Hi Mariko,

Is this a way to handle/reuse group instances from project to project? I need to have a group with specific tweens that can be reused for other projects with different banner sizes etc.

Thanks,
Marlon

Hi, thank you for requesting copy/paste animation layer.

We are not currently supporting copy/paste layers or copy/paste groups or nested elements to different projects,
GWD team is working to improve Timeline and copy/paste operations.

Thanks,
Mariko (GWD team)

In the next release of Google Web Designer (coming soon), you will be able to duplicate a layer. In addition, when you copy an element with animation and paste it in a different document or the same document, it will also copy the animation.

Thanks,
San

Great! Can you let us know what time frame "coming soon" is? A week, a month, 6 months, a year? Just the original request is over 2 years old so it would be nice to have a timeline rather than a vague promise of "soon"

We are testing the build right now and still having a few issues to fix before we can launch. My estimation is within 2 weeks.

Hi philrsd,

It would work in the latest build you should be running, 1.8.2.0524. You can right click on a layer and select Duplicate layer.
